Hillary Teague

With 22 years of experience in college admissions, PK-12 admissions, and college counseling, I bring deep expertise and genuine enthusiasm to guiding students through their educational journey. My career began in the Undergraduate Admissions Office at the University of Michigan, where I earned my MA in Higher Education Administration. I then spent 11 years in Admissions at Kalamazoo College, a progressive liberal arts institution in southwest Michigan, followed by a role at Case Western Reserve University. My transition to PK-12 education brought me to Laurel School, an independent girls school in Cleveland, Ohio, where I worked in admissions before becoming a college counselor and Dean of Students. Additionally, for the past five years, I've served as an independent college counselor working with students nationwide and internationally.

My greatest strength lies in helping students discover that they are fascinating individuals with compelling stories worth sharing. I excel at connecting with both students and parents, creating an environment where authentic conversations flourish. My excitement is contagious when students begin making meaningful connections between their unique strengths, interests, and future possibilities.

I've been happily married for 20 years and am the proud mother of two sons in 9th and 5th grades. I maintain an active lifestyle as a dedicated "recreational runner" for nearly two decades, complemented by weight training and my current passion for spinning. When I'm not working with students, you'll find me enjoying live music and concerts, reading before bed each night, or exploring my interests in design and color. My combination of professional expertise, personal authenticity, and genuine care for student success makes me an invaluable partner in the college admissions process.

I'm currently a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Association of College Counselors in Independent Schools, and have served in numerous committees and board roles through the Michigan Association for College Admissions Counseling and the Great Lakes Colleges Association.
